Product Technical Details:
- Catalog: any hard disk, data folder, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, BlueRay, HD-DVD, iPod, Server Volume, Audio-CD, USB-Stick, and more
- Power: Handle really large amounts of data (some others are limited to only 2000 or 4000 files!)
- Photo Previews: Create beautiful thumbnails for many photo and image formats, such as JPG, TIFF, PSD, RAW, BMP, GIF, PNG, ICO
- Video Previews: Creates thumbnails for the most popular video formats like AVI, MPG, MOV, MP4, VOB, FLV, MKV
- Audio Meta Data: MP3, FLAC and AAC (iTunes) meta data: author, album, title, composer, lyrics, cover art, track number, duration, bit rate, genre, year, comment. Even catalogs whole Audio-CDs, and also Apple iPhone ringtone files! (AIFF and WAVE, too)! Reads ISRC from WAVE files, and can get AudioCD information (incl ISRC and ASIN) from CD-TEXT, MusicBrainz and freedb
- Photo Meta Data: EXIF, IPTC meta data (including GPS geotags), and JPG, TIFF and BMP photo info
- Video Meta Data: Reads Dimension, duration, codec and framerate of video files, supporting AVI, MOV, MP4, FLV, MPG and M4V
- Document Meta Data: Reads meta data and thumbnails of PDF (via Xpdf), InDesign, EPS and Illustrator files (via XMP)
- Text File Content: Reads the contents (first 256 characters) of Word, RTF and code, XML/HTML and plain text files (TXT, LOG, NFO, ...)
- XMP editing: abeMeda can edit XMP/IPTC tags directly in media files.
- Ratings: abeMeda supports assigning ratings to files (also via XMP)
- Keywords: manage your keywords in a global hierarchical keyword list to assign them to your files as needed.
- Metadata Presets: keep a collection of your most used tag combinations to assign them with one click
- People: manage people in a global people list to assign them to your files as needed.
- Annotations: manage a global set of annotations that are offered for editing on any XMP-capable file. abeMeda also reads other apps’ Annotations from your files, and imports them from iView/Phase One exports.
- Geotagging GPS support: abeMeda catalogs and displays GPS EXIF tags of photos, and has a direct link to Google Earth, Flickr, Panoramio, Google Maps and MapQuest. abeMeda can even search for photos that were taken near any location (GeoFinder) and exports GPS data to KMZ files !
